[QRD SPARK N5] Resetting back to the factory settings | QRDGAME – qrdgame

How to Factory Reset QRD SPARK N5 Controller

A factory reset can help restore the QRD SPARK N5 controller to its default operating state when temporary settings, pairing records, lighting behavior, Turbo/Macro modes, or button functions become abnormal.

Important Note Before Resetting

A factory reset does not downgrade or change the installed firmware version.

It only clears temporary controller settings, such as:

  • Pairing or connection state
  • Temporary button behavior
  • Turbo or Macro memory settings
  • Button remapping status
  • Lighting or mode-related abnormalities

After reset, you may need to pair the controller with your device again.

Factory Reset Steps

Step 1: Power Off the Controller

Make sure the controller is turned off.

If the controller is still powered on, press and hold the Q / HOME button for approximately 3-5 seconds until the lights turn off.

Step 2: Locate the RESET Pinhole

Turn the controller over.

Find the small RESET pinhole on the back of the controller, near the left rear button area or L4 zone.

Step 3: Press and Hold RESET

Use a SIM ejector pin, paperclip, or similar small tool.

Press and hold the RESET button for approximately 5 seconds while the controller is powered off.

Step 4: Restart the Controller

Release the RESET button.

Press the Q / HOME button to turn on the controller again.

The controller should now be restored to its default temporary settings.

When Should You Perform a Factory Reset?

Scenario Suggested Action
Controller will not power on or respond Charge for 1-2 hours first, then try factory reset
Q / HOME button does not work Reset if charging and normal restart do not resolve the issue
Button remapping, joystick drift, or lighting issue Reset to clear temporary mode or setting conflicts
Bluetooth or console connection issue Reset and pair the controller again
Turbo or Macro mode is misconfigured Reset to clear stored temporary function settings
Abnormal behavior after firmware update Reset after firmware flashing to stabilize controller behavior

After Factory Reset

After resetting the QRD SPARK N5:

  • Turn the controller on again with the Q / HOME button.
  • Re-pair the controller with your console, PC, mobile device, or QRD BlackPill converter if needed.
  • Check whether buttons, joysticks, lighting, and connection behavior have returned to normal.
  • If the issue started after a firmware update, confirm that the firmware update completed correctly.

Troubleshooting After Reset

If the controller still does not respond after reset:

  1. Charge it with a stable 5V/1A USB power source, PC USB port, or PS4 USB port.
  2. Try another USB-C cable.
  3. Avoid incompatible fast-charging adapters during normal troubleshooting.
  4. Press and hold Q / HOME for at least 5 seconds after charging.
  5. Update or reinstall firmware if the issue started after firmware flashing.
